Testimonials

Manjimup Senior High School

Natasha Gibbs
Business Certificate Teacher & Year 11/12 Cert Pathway Coordinator,
Manjimup Senior High School, WA

Student Edge Learning is a great resource for teachers to use to help their students understand Cyber Safety.

The website was easy to use to set up my class/group and my students were able to access it simply and complete the lessons and quizzes efficiently.

It was made more relevant to my students as I delivered it as part of the Certificate II Business qualification for the Unit of Competency BSBITU203 - Communicate electronically. They used their Certificate from the website as evidence of their knowledge about Cyber Safety.

I look forward to using this resource again next year, and would happily recommend it to other teachers.

Educating students about life skills such as cyber safety can be a challenge for schools due to the dry nature of the topic.

Student Edge has produced cyber safety resources that are fun and engaging for lower secondary students, allowing them to demonstrate learning through student-friendly interactive quizzes. The reward of a printable certificate that is recognised by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner inspires them to complete the questions correctly.

As an administrator, I like the ability to quantify that a cohort of students has demonstrated cyber safety competence. This has been a great success adding value to our ICT Orientation Program for Year 7 students.

We look forward to utilising the full suite of Student Edge Learning modules in the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Student Edge Learning?

Student Edge Learning delivers digital online courses that bring you life skills to help you navigate everyday challenges. Each course is designed to be accessible and informative, breaking down content into easy to understand chunks. As you progress through each course your understanding and comprehension will be checked with short fun quizzes. When you complete a course you will receive a certificate of completion that you can print for your file.

How does Student Edge Learning work for schools?

As a teacher you can set up and manage learning groups and track the progress of your class or group. Simply select a course, choose the number of participants and then you can invite participants to take the online course. You get an easy to use dashboard that allows you to manage participants, shows you individual progress and completion and allows you to print certificates if you choose.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes. The easiest way to pay is with a credit or debit card. Payments are processed through PayPal, as it is one of the most secure ways to pay online, but you don't need a PayPal account, you can pay with your credit or debit card as a guest. If you do have a PayPal account you can take advantage of PayPal's other payment methods like a bank account transfer or paying with your PayPal balance. On confirmation of payment we will email you an invoice and confirmation of your purchase.

Don't have a credit or debit card or not keen to use PayPal? Contact Us to discuss other payment options.

Can I buy a course as a gift?

Absolutely. You can sign up as a parent or guardian and purchase a course for an individual or a number of individuals. You can then send them access details and they can take the course when they are ready. You'll be able to see their progress and completion.

What courses are available?

At the moment our life skills courses available include the Cyber Safety course, an online course helping you navigate online safely, and the Job Readiness course, practical advice on preparing for your first job, from creating your first resume and interview tips through to tax and superannuation.
